How to Replace A Starter on a Mower

Doesn’t it always seem that when you go to do a job around the house, something breaks.

This week, I went to mow my lawn, and it wouldn’t start. It was amazing a terrible winning noise, and just wouldn’t start.

I pretty quickly suspected that the mower starter was shot, so I got a new one.

In this video, I’ll show you how to swap out the starter on your mower.

This particular mower is my 20+ year old Murray 42544x8e with a Briggs and Stratton 2A707 V-Twin.

Here is a link to the starter on Amazon. Make sure you get the right one for your mower.
