How to Hang a Wood Shelf (and stain it)
In case you didn’t already know, the Fixer Family is having another baby. We have one little 2 year old boy and decided we needed to add a littler girl to the mix. She is on her way, so we have to get ready.
We decided that it made the most sense to convert our guest bedroom into a room for our oldest, and convert the nursery from a little girls room, to a little boys room.
The current nursery is very much decorated for a little cowboy, complete with a dark shelf to hold all of his cowboy things. We decided that we needed to move the shelf from the nursery into his room. But, we still wanted to have a shelf in the nursery for all of our little girl things.
I could certainly just go to Lowes and purchase a shelf, but I don’t like particle board, and would rather have a read wood shelf. In this video, I am going to show you how to make a fairly inexpensive shelf out of poplar wood. I’m going to stain it, and then show you the best way I have found to hang it.
We’ll take the shelf out of the nursery, and move it, then hang the new shelf in the nursery.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Be sure to leave a comment before if you liked it, or if you didn’t like it.
